At SpaceUp Interior Design, we define vibrant design as design that connects people – regardless of gender, sexual orientation, origin, physical ability, or life situation. During Pride Month, we celebrate diversity. Truly inclusive spaces represent this diversity. They are technically, spatially, and emotionally open to EVERYONE.
Spaces that create visibility and safety through empathy
Inclusive architecture is more than technical accessibility – it reflects human diversity and promotes social participation. At the beginning of a new project, we take plenty of time to get to know and understand you and your needs. Because good design is based on empathy – the active understanding of the needs of all users, regardless of physical or social identity.
Accessible design with dignity
Accessibility is at the heart of good design. It is created by conscious architectural decisions that enable natural participation – without the label "barrier-free." Accessibility should not be seen as an afterthought, but rather an integral part of the design. It is the epitome of spatial dignity and participation for all people. Concepts such as Universal Design and DeafSpace demonstrate that everyone benefits from accessibility. Wider paths, visual and tactile orientation, and targeted lighting design benefit people with a wide range of needs – not just those with limited mobility.
Our principles
Empathy at the heart: We involve different user groups early on in the planning process – in workshops, question and answer sessions and brainstorming sessions
Sensory clarity: The targeted use of light, color and acoustic measures creates a balanced, inviting atmosphere
Accessibility as a design standard: Furniture concepts that enable participation as naturally as possible
Spirit of togetherness: Spaces for all age groups, gender identities and mobility levels promote connection and sociability
Such an approach creates real human connection – spaces where everyone is seen, respected and accepted.
In June, we celebrate diversity—but throughout the year, we plan, design, and build spaces that make inclusion and community tangible in everyday life. For us, this isn't a side note—it's the guiding principle of everything we do and create. Spatial design that inspires, connects, and empowers.
Would you like to work with us to create spaces where everyone feels welcome, safe, and inspired? We look forward to hearing from you!
